Anyi Mosquera earned her BA in Linguistics and Literature from the Universidad Tecnológica del Chocó. Anyi is in her final year as a graduate student at the University of Missouri. Before starting the MA Degree, she spent a year teaching Spanish in Zarrow International School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She also worked as an editor for a local newspaper in her hometown. She has participated in several events to recite her poetry which has been published in the electronic journal Revista Cronopio. Her research focuses on Race and the marginalization of Black figures in Latin American Narratives. She currently teaches elementary level spanish courses in the SLLC at the University of Missouri.
