Joe Benevento is a Professor Emeritus of English (Truman State).  For 40 years he taught courses in American literature, creative writing, and Latin American literature in translation, and for most of that time was also co-editor of the Green Hills Literary Lantern.  He is the author of sixteen books of poetry and fiction and has had work published in close to 300 literary journals, including Bilingual Review, Poets & Writers, Prairie Schooner and Wisconsin Review. His most recent works are the novel, My Perfect Wife, Her Perfect Son, with Histria Books and The Cracker Box Poems with bilingual publisher Mouthfeel Press.
