Sicily: Crossroads in the Mediterranean 

Duration: 2 Weeks (Optional additional 3 weeks)

Jump into Sicily's past as you explore the cultures that intersected on this beautiful island. Led by Dr. Carla Cornette, this second 8-week spring course concludes with two weeks in.

Program highlights:

  • Guided boat tours along eastern coast of Sicily and Favignana.
  • Hiking excursion on Mount Etna.
  • Experience nine UNESCO World Heritage sites.
  • Two nights on Favignana island, where “The Odyssey” (2025) was just filmed.
  • Chocolate tastings in Modica and pastry workshop in Palermo.
  • Tour of a protected marine nature reserve and tuna fishery museum.

Located in the heart of the ancient Silk Road, for centuries Kyrgyzstan has served as the crossroads for international trade, ethnic groups, nomadic tribes and diverse religious traditions in Central Asia. Led by Dr. Mary Stegmaier, you will explore beautiful and significant sites around Kyrgyzstan:

  • Sulayman Mountain (World Heritage Site)
  • Ala-Too Square in Bishkek
  • Ala Archa National Park
  • Uzgen Minaret and Mausoleum.

Lima and Cusco, Peru

Spanish Language and Andean Society 

Duration: 4 Weeks 
Application Deadline: February 15, 2026

Fully immerse yourself in Lima for three weeks before exploring Cusco for a week, all while improving your Spanish language skills and experiencing life in Peru. Led by Dr. Ivan Reyna, this program is a great way to see the world while completing required courses.

This program features multiple excursions, including a bucket list-worthy visit to Machu Picchu and the following sites:
