Undergraduate Program
Choose the degree program that aligns perfectly with your career goals. Pursue a BA with a major in Spanish or add a minor in Spanish or Latinx Studies to your degree program.
Graduate Program
The School of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures offers two Masters of Arts programs in Spanish: the MA in Romance Languages in Spanish and MA in Language Teaching (MALT). The MA in Romance Languages in Spanish focuses on Hispanic studies, while MALT specializes in teaching Spanish as a second language.
Courses
Our courses provide students with the fundamental and an advanced understanding of the Spanish language. Students learn to listen, speak, read, and write in Spanish, while exploring the history, culture and current events of modern Latin America. Students who are interested in teaching Spanish are provided with the foundation to teach and implement lesson plans.
Get Involved
Spanish Club
Connect with students and faculty who share a similar passion for the Spanish language and culture. The Spanish Club offers a unique community for students to practice, enhance and supplement their language skills. They can also pair up with English language learners of Hispanic origin in the Language Partners program.

Study Abroad
Immerse yourself in Spanish culture while improving your language skills during a study abroad experience in Spain or Peru. Apply for a six-credit hour program at one of the oldest universities in Spain, or study abroad in Lima and Cusco, Peru.
