Mamadou Badiane just returned from the Fourteenth Biennial International Research Conference of the Afro-Latin/American Research Association that took place at Rutgers University Camden August 2—4, 2023.
The title of his presentation was: “Who Am I? From Identity clashes to cultural Anxieties.”
Badiane is the Director of the Afro-Romance Institute and Associate Professor of Spanish. His research and teaching focuses on Afro-Caribbean literature, culture, and history, particularly at the beginning of the twentieth century.
