Omotayo Jemiluyi, an MA candidate in French, has had an essay accepted for publication in the prestigious journal French Cultural Studies. 

Entitled "'Original Sufferhead': The Boy-Child and Masculine Sufferings in Ahmadou Kourouma’s Allah n'est pas obligé and Les soleils des indépendances," the article was developed during two periods of focused study.

During summer 2023, Tayo conducted research as Carrie Wilkins Summer Research Fellow; then, in a fall 2023 Independent Study supervised by Prof. M. J. Muratore, this work was formulated into the paper that will now appear in French Cultural Studies. Congratulations, Tayo!
