Professor Juanamaria Cordones-Cook has been invited to give the closing keynote at the upcoming online conference Out of the Wings in focus: Black Playwrights of the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking Worlds (https://ootwfestival.com/infocus/), which will be held February 27, 2021. The event is sponsored by the Out of the Wings collective, a group of translators, academics, and theatre practitioners based at King's College who work to to translate, workshop, and showcase texts from the Spanish and Portuguese speaking worlds for audiences in the UK. It will also feature a screening of Professor Cordones-Cook's film Fátima Patterson, Race, Gender and Theater.
