This week, German majors Kate Schreiber and Jackson Estwanick were admitted to the 2024 cohort of the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals. Initially granted semi-finalist status on the basis of their written applications, both students then completed an interview process where they were asked about their academic interests, career plans, and preparation for CBYX.

As grantees of this highly selective year-long program, which is jointly supported by the U.S. Congress and the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany, both Kate and Jackson will spend a year in residence in Germany, living, working, and learning en route to their further careers.
