As part of the Caribbean Theme Semester, Missouri Southern University in partnership with University of Missouri Extension four documentaries on Afro-Cuban arts, literature, folklore and religion by Juanamaria Cordones-Cook were screened followed by her presentations and Q&A sessions (images attached), September 1st, 2020:

   [2] The Magical World of Mendive;

   [3] Diago, a Maroon Artist;

   [4] Rogelio Martínez Furé: A Cuban Griot.

Prof. Juanamaria Cordones-Cook’s documentary The Magical World of Mendive was screened by Dr. Yolanda Wood, from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, for  Spiritual Returns: Nature and Art in the Caribbean, for the Festival in Caribbean Literature, in Los Angeles, June 2020.
