I am Lizbeth Jaimes, a language educator from Colombia with a degree in English–French Foreign Languages from the University of Pamplona and a specialization in the implementation and application of ICT for teaching from the University of Santander. I currently teach Spanish 1100 and hold a Professional Educator License from the Illinois State Board of Education. I have professional teaching experience at the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), as well as international academic experience at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut. My teaching philosophy is rooted in communicative, student-centered approaches, drawing inspiration from the Reggio Emilia philosophy. I am especially interested in integrating technology into language learning and fostering cross-cultural understanding in my classes.
