In 2021, I was awarded the UGRAD scholarship from the U.S. Department of State to study for one semester at Mississippi Valley State University. I hold a bachelor's degree in modern Languages from the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo. I’m currently pursuing a masters in Language Teaching at the University of Missouri, along with a minor in College Teaching. I have worked for various schools and language institutes, and I have participated in various programs, groups, webinar sessions, and conferences related to Language Teaching, Language Learning programs, and Language Education. Additionally, I plan to continue my volunteer work as part of my teaching career.
For my undergraduate dissertation, I conducted a study on the motivational factors that influence students to learn English as a second language in my home country. The study aimed to identify students’ motivations for learning a foreign language, as well as the role of their cultural background and social identity in the development of their language skills.
