Congratulations to Juanamaria Cordones-Cook, who this week will be honoring via a Zoom talk Nancy Morejón as she receives her third Honoris Causa Doctoral degree in Libreville, Gabon, and will inaugurate a library in honor of her name in Libreville. 

Nancy Morejon has become part of the University of Missouri international family since her first visit participating at an Afro-Hispanic conference organized by RLL in March 1993. She has been invited to MU dozens of times for poetry readings and international events. In addition, since 2007, we have at our Museum of Anthropology The Nancy Morejón Special Collection of Afro-Romance Literature, Language and Culture, which we founded with the support of MU administration and the leadership of our Dean of Arts and Science.
