Interdisciplinary Inquiry: a new course in Italian poetry and quantum physics
SLLC
This semester, the Honors College is offering a new course studying the intersection of Italian poetry and quantum physics. SLLC professor Carla Cornette is collaborating with Philosophy professor Mike Schneider to offer “A Journey Through Black Holes and Dante’s Hell,” a Tutorial course focusing on the intersection of Italian poet Dante Alighieri and new discoveries regarding black holes. In this interdisciplinary course, participating students will have an opportunity to study late-medieval poetry and cosmology alongside the latest developments in astrophysics. For more information, see the Honors College's reporting on this initiative.
