Joseph Otabela's article, Rumo a uma poética da descolonização: diálogo transatlântico entre Donato Ndongo e Manuel Zapata Olivella has just appeared in Revista Investigações.

This essay analyzes the transatlantic dialogue between Donato Ndongo and Manuel Zapata Olivella as an expression of a poetics of decolonization centered on memory, Black identity, exile, and resistance. Through a comparative study of five axes—colonialism, historical memory, migration, Blackness, and literature as a space of symbolic struggle—it demonstrates how both authors question hegemonic discourses and reclaim the agency of subaltern subjects. Supported by postcolonial and decolonial theories, the work presents Afro-descendant literature as an archive of dignity, a political tool, and an emancipatory horizon.
