Juanamaria Cordones-Cook had a very fruitful recent research trip to Cuba, where she engaged with many intellectuals and artists to further her work. Notably, she completed her documentary, Diago, Ancestral Instinct, including images of MU symposium Afro-Cuban Legacies, Visual Arts,  Literature, Theatre, Music, and Religion, April 10-12, 2024, with images of exhibits at MU Museum of Art and Archaeology, Ellis Library, and Stephens College, and declarations by President Mun Choi and selected distinguished participants.
