Tyler Alexander Coleman, a senior majoring in Biochemistry, received an Honorable Mention Award (3rd place) in the Intermediate division at the 6th Midwest Korean Speech Contest, hosted by the Korean Consulate in Chicago on April 5, 2025.

38 students from 20 different schools competed in this contest, with 14 students competing in Tyler's division. In his speech, Tyler shared the mistakes and fears he experienced while learning Korean and encouraged others not to give up and keep trying. Tyler has been studying Korean since the fall of 2023.
