Professor Sean Franzel recently took undergraduate and graduate students studying German to the Deutschheim State Historical Site in Hermann, MO as part of his course on the cultural history of German immigration to Missouri.

Winemaking expert Professor Stephan Sommer MU Extension, Missouri Grape and Wine Institute spoke to the students on the history and current state of wine making in Missouri, and the role of German-Americans in shaping it.
