Spanish Program Celebrates Dia De Los Muertos

The Mizzou Spanish Program commemorated Dia de los Muertos in Arts and Science with decorations and treats. Homemade Pan de muerto was offered along with sweet hot chocolate, Champurrado.

Dia de los Muertos, or "Day of the Dead" is a tradition that originated in Mexico to remember and honor family and loved ones who have passed on. Each year the Spanish Program celebrates the holiday at the university by setting up an ofrenda with pictures of the loved ones, as well as food, candles, flowers, and more.
